EcoShift analyzes the complex interplay between climate change and economics. Founded by economics students who care deeply about the planet, our mission is to spur evidence-based dialogue on building resilient, equitable economies that curb climate change.
As youth passionate about sustainability, we were compelled to launch EcoShift because the climate crisis demands urgent action. Global temperatures continue rising as extreme weather disrupts lives and supply chains.
Through data-driven research and insightful commentary, EcoShift cuts through polarized rhetoric to highlight pragmatic solutions. What policy packages effectively cut emissions while supporting displaced workers? How can businesses adapt? Which clean technologies merit investment?
While climate change demands urgency, responses must be deliberative. Costs and benefits must be weighed. Understanding these tradeoffs, and identifying opportunities for broad-based prosperity, is at the core of our work.
EcoShift also aims to make climate economics accessible. Technical findings are distilled into engaging content for a general audience. The climate emergency is too critical to leave the discussion solely to experts. We believe sound economic analysis, clearly communicated, can help shape constructive public discourse.
The time for climate action is now.
